Xi'an and Rome, though geographically distant, are connected by the ancient Silk Road. The "bridge" between Chinese and Italian cultures is embodied by He Hui, the most renowned Chinese soprano of our time. This film documents the life and performances of He Hui, a Europe-based soprano famous for her role in the acclaimed opera Aida in Verona, Italy. Through capturing moments from her global tours, it portrays the encounter between two distinct ways of life and cultures—East and West.
